My story
Sparkles is available for foster or adoption. She is currently being fostered in St. Petersburg, FL (Pinellas County). Sparkles is a young active girl, sweet & quiet, around a year old, and about 25 lbs.  She likely won't grow much more and will be between 25-30 lbs max full size. She rarely barks. Your guess is as good as ours on her breed mix. She has cute big ears that almost look like little pig-tails on her head. Her personality is very playful, submissive and loving. She loves to play ball outside and plays well with other dogs. Sparkles needs a fenced in yard to run around. And she likes the water outside so no pools unless there are safety features to keep her safe. Sparkles is already crate trained, house trained & rides well in the car. She knows the "sit" command. Sparkles takes treats with a gentle mouth while sitting on command. She comes when her name is called. She curls up next to her human often laying her head in his or her lap. Sparkles learns the routine of a new household very fast too. Sparkles is spayed, up to date on all of her vaccinations and heartworm negative.  We are a foster-based rescue organization with foster homes throughout the state of Florida. We predominantly save dogs from municipal shelters throughout the Southeastern U.S. Our rescue dogs live in foster homes - there is no central facility.
